What's with Haus?

Never deal with Comcast or Time Warner Cable again

welcome

At its core Haus is a utility to make your home life easier: from paying your bills on time, to remembering where you put that lease, to dealing with perpetually-late-paying roommates.

With that in mind, we're thrilled to announce that we are opening our beta program to residents of New York City starting with the launch of our iPhone app. We will have experiences for desktop and other devices soon to follow.

Now, what does Haus actually do?

Pay and manage bills

Haus allows you to manage and pay bills from any utility company or subscription service. The app provides a single destination and overview for any situation regarding your home — utilities, cable, internet — and is especially useful when you’re splitting those costs with others. No more chaos. Just Haus.

Overview and details of an Optimum cable account

Haus is starting off by supporting major providers around New York City, and we'll be quickly adding more based on user demand.

Coordinate with roommates

If you are living with roommates you will enjoy Haus even more. The app makes sharing bills and automatically splitting the costs incredibly easy and intuitive. We even give ways to provide a gentle nudge in case your roommate is a little behind on his or her payments.

No need for the whiteboards, spreadsheets, or google docs.

Watch for anomalies

Not only does Haus make the home management process easier, it also makes it smarter. By looking at month-over-month data we can tell if there is anything funny going on with your electric bill (or water bill, or New York Times subscription). Don’t get overcharged again.

And all of this is done with state-of-the-art encryption. We built Haus to take security seriously from the start.

More to come

This is just the beginning — we have plenty more in the works that we can't wait to share with you. For now follow us on twitter and sign up for the beta!
